As I strolled through the various booths of the Ambiente event, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: Hado knives. Nestled in a small space shared with 4 other Japanese knife brands like Mac knives. Hado’s simple booth might have been overlooked if it weren’t for the amazing craftsmanship that grabbed my attention.
Some brands at the event had big, flashy displays, but what caught my eye was the simple elegance of Hado knives on a simple table with a tablecloth.
They paid close attention to detail, especially with their unique knife grind and finish on the choil, which made them stand out from the rest. It was a small detail, but it made a big difference.
Unforgettable Moments
Out of all the knives I looked at, Hado knives stood out the most. Motonari Fukui (6th President of HADO) and Mai Kashiwagi, the friendly faces at the booth, not only shared their knowledge but also made the experience memorable with their kindness and love for their work. There’s something special about moments where excellent products and genuine connections come together. Although I wish I had taken more pictures.

A Brand to Remember
Keep an eye out for Hado knives, which you might find sold under different brand labels at trusted Japanese stores. Their skill and attention to detail make them a top choice for those who appreciate quality. Seeing Hado knives sold at various retailers also showcases that those retailers also noticed the craftmanship of Hado knives.
If you are a retailer definitely consider adding Hado Knives to your collection, so that customers can buy them.
